SUN, FOOD AND FUN

Get the best of your stay at the Island and go through these info notes...

You will be only a few minutes away from the village centre and popular cafés. The nearest beach is 120 m walking distance (80 m area distance). To “Zlatni rat” beach you can take the small tourist train or a 20min stroll along the cost and under the pine trees.
Unwind and relax.
You will find major sport activities on and around “Zlatni rat” beach. World famous is surfing and kiting but you can also go for: biking, scuba diving, canoeing, water-ski, free-climbing, tracking, fishing, hunting, . .
After sun exposure you can relax in one of many bar lounges or enjoy one of two truly indulging spa centres.
You can prolong your fun till late in the evening but if you are an ‘early bird’, remember that night life is discreet and won’t disturb your sleep.
The most popular lounge bars are Varadero and Bolero with good cocktails and trendy crowd.
There are plenty of restaurants in the village. We highly recommend the fish restaurant Taverna, or a typical Dalmatian restaurant Konoba, both in the village centre. Just 200 m behind the house there is a restaurant Ranch with grilled lamb as its specials. Remember that local cheep vine is sometimes better than bottled. Restaurants in Bol are not cheap and on average dinner could cost €30-40 per person.

There are many places to visit on the Island. Please contact any local travel agency. However we recommend sunset at Vidova gora, the highest peak on the Island. Island of Brac is the highest of all the Adriatic islands.
If you don’t feel like swimming, you can find a cool place to enjoy at the nearby Dominican cluster. Drinks are served in its isolated garden.

Adriatic sun could be very strong during months of July and August. Don’t forget to protect yourself.
Please keep in mind that during the summer you should drink a minimum of 2 litres of water per day.
You can get more advice on health issues in one of the Bol spa centres. Find some time to try a signature 4-hand massage at Bretanide Spa.
